Kagome Higurashi seems like a normal girl right? That's what she thought too, until one day when she fell into a well that brought her to the feudral era and met Inu-Yasha. In the feudral era, she also found out that she was the reincarnation of some shrine priestess maiden, called Kikyo.

Kikyo and Inu-Yasha were in love with each other a long time ago. One day, Naraku made Kikyo and Inu-Yasha think that they betrayed each other by disguising as Inu-Yasha and almost killing Kikyo [but she did die in the end]. Kikyo was badly injured by Naraku when he disguised as Inu-Yasha. That was the day when Kikyo pinned Inu-Yasha to a tree because she thought he betrayed her.
